CSPL2 Pre-Bid Conference

On Thursday, Oct. 28 the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) hosted the Crystal Springs Pipeline No. 2 Replacement Project (CSPL2) pre-bid conference. More than 35 interested prime contractors and subcontractors participated at the conference held at the SFPUC. The conference was led by CSPL2 project manager Susan Hou. Some contractors even participated in a site tour led by CSPL2 project engineer Paul Y. Louie.

The CSPL2 project is one of the 86 Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) projects. WSIP will repair, replace and seismically upgrade its aging infrastructure to provide a consistently reliable, high-quality water supply to our customers particularly following a major earthquake or during a drought.

The San Mateo County area has 10 WSIP projects currently in design or under construction. Three San Mateo County WSIP projects have already been completed in 2008 and 2009.

Should you have questions about the CSPL2 project, please contact our CSPL2 Communications Liaison Daniel Jaimes at 866-973-1476 or by e-mail at djaimes@sfwater.org.
