Reminder: Crystal Springs Road Closure Starting on Monday, July 30

CSPL2 Construction Activities
Starting Monday, July 30, Crystal Springs Road from El Cerrito Ave. to Polhemus Road will be closed for construction work. This road closure will be in effect through the end of Friday, August 3. Due to the location of the work area, this short-term road closure is necessary for the safety of the residents, motorists and bicyclists who use this roadway as we replace this critical part of our regional water delivery system.

The road closure is for 5 consecutive days, 24 hours a day, and will be closed to all non-local traffic. Please use Black Mountain Road as a detour route. Detour signs will be in place to help guide cyclists and motorists. Your water service will not be interrupted, and the contractor will abide by the local city noise ordinance.

Tour de Peninsula Road Closure
There will be an additional road closure, implemented by the San Mateo County Parks Foundation, on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 5 for the annual Tour de Peninsula. This is a single day road closure. For details, visit www.supportparks.org/tdp.

Access & Traffic Concerns
In order for this work to be completed quickly and safely, traffic control measures and detours will be in place. Detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic along Crystal Springs Road during work hours, as needed. For residents who travel through Hillsborough, please use Black Mountain Road and look for detour signs.

For residents who live on Crystal Springs Road (or on an adjoining street) within the road closure area, the contractor will allow access onto Crystal Springs Road to get to your home. An attendant will be located at both ends of the road closure area to limit access to non-local traffic.
